Today we get to discuss one of my favorite stories in the New Testament. It’s actually two stories in one, involving a man named Jairus and an unnamed woman suffering from some sort of blood-related disease. I love this story for two reasons. First it contrasts the different attitudes people have toward Jesus. Second, it demonstrates God’s grace poured on on people who don’t deserve it (none of us do).
The little glimpses we get into the lives of these two people make them very relatable. We have all been where these two people are in the story. We have all had similar experiences. The question is, how have we handle those things. More importantly, how will we handle similar circumstances as they continue popping up in our lives?
