It’s nearly impossible to describe God using human words and phrases. But if I had to choose a phrase I think best describes His heart, it would be ‘Master of Mercy’.

God is our Master and a merciful one at that. But he is also the master of mercy himself. No one dispenses mercy like God. He is the only one who does it perfectly and justly. Later in Psalms we will see that his mercy endures forever. But in today’s text, we’ll just bask in in the joy of knowing how merciful he is to those who love and serve him.
