A Tale of Two Legacies – Psalms 48+49
One of my clients is a luxury home builder in Texas. The company’s specialty is the custom-built estate home on a large, private lot. One of their selling points is that they build homes that become lasting family legacies passed down from generation to generation. It all sounds good to someone whose whole perspective on life is wrapped up in what exists here on earth.
God’s perspective is different. Yes, he blesses the faithful in all sorts of ways – including material possessions. But the legacy he wants to build for us isn’t a material house. It’s a legacy of faith and hope. A legacy of praise, gratitude, and eternal reward.
